Mary, I wanted to share with you my recent series, “Women as Projects”, that was inspired by your video “Body Love”. Ever since I saw your acoustic video for “Body Love” years ago, it inspired me to explore women’s body image in my photographic work to try and change the distorted versions we see of ourselves due to poor representation in the media. I want to thank you for being so inspirational and life changing for women everywhere and I look forward to everything you’ll do in the future!

Hello, I pretty much just read your entire website, I adore you. Your video “She Keeps Me Warm” is beautiful and your intentions were right on point, reminded of that first crush. I recently have been…How do I put this into words? Discovering you? Anyways I heard you once before on Youtube which I thought you were only making cover videos for the “Same Love” song. Ended up being wrong, you partially created those lyrics and was the heart of the song, it was beautiful. Congratulations on this growth and having those dreams become reality. I could remember the days when I had that first crush and I wrote poetry after poetry, letters, songs… So I can only imagine how your music came together and the things you have written have became such a connection. I never really been a fan of anyone because I see everyone very equally but I adore you more than any artist I have come across. Your beautiful, smart, and very talented. I hope to actually meet you one day, the curiosity to look into your eyes. I do have questions considering the religion situation, would you mind just telling the story of where you have been with it to where you are now?
I found you via YouTube. I was watching a Sara Bareilles vid when an ad for your EP popped up. I got curious and did a YouTube search, which lead me to a video of you performing Body Love in a field. I found it incredibly moving and beautiful, and became both awed and (slightly) jealous that you so beautifully and eloquently articulated the message that has eluded me for the last year (at least). I immediately shared the video via Facebook and bought your new EP.

My husband Randy and I used to go in all the time and you would always wait on us with with the biggest smile and the happiest personality, a real sweetheart! You’d shared with us that singing was your passion. Imagine my surprise when I caught a glimpse of you on the local news receiving an award at the VMA’s!! All I can say is WAY TO GO!!!
